We drove to Avranches by car from Rennes and stayed in an old hotel called l’Hotel de la Croix d’Or. The first day we walked to the Jardin des Plantes and had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The next morning we went to Mont Saint Michel (this trip has its own page) and when we got back we went to the Scriptorial, where all the manuscripts from Mont Saint Michel are kept. I couldn’t take photos inside but outside there are 4 wooden statues of books. The rest of the photos are from our evening walk and the next morning walk to get groceries from the Carrefour before we drove back to Rennes.
