In September I went to South Korea with the Alberta Craft Council whose Pulp Paper Pages exhibition I had a piece in. This exhibit was shown at the Hanji Festival in Wonju. I loved the food, the traditional crafts, the fashion, the love of Italian coffee, and the people I met there.
After Wonju, we went to Seoul and stayed in a traditional guest house in an old neighbourhood protected by the UN called Bukchon. The architecture is many hundreds of years old and when repaired must be done in the same way as the original. There are interesting shops selling traditional crafts and several small museums as well.
